Check-in and registration will commence on Tuesday, October 22 at 8:00am. We highly encourage you when possible to carpool and/or use Uber or Lyft. UC San Diego has a shuttle to the Scripps Seaside Forum every 15 minutes! The SIO (Scripps Institution of Oceanography) shuttle connects to the Central Campus at the Gilman Transit Center with a walking connection to the UC San Diego Blue Line Trolley at the Central Campus Station. Temporary visitor parking permits can be purchased for 1 – 6 hours or for the entire day at vending machines in the Gilman Parking Structure or in Lot P406, located on the east side of the structure. Park in the spaces marked with a white V and place your purchased permit on the car dashboard. Air TravelParticipants flying to the Symposium should make their reservations into San Diego International Airport “Lindbergh Field”: SAN The time of transportation from the airport to the La Jolla area is approximately 25 minutes. ShuttleA shared ride shuttle service offers a budget-friendly alternative. The per person rate is estimated at $25 one way but can vary. Reservations can be made in advance online or by calling the numbers listed below. If traveling with more than one guest we generally suggest a taxi or chartered sedan, as rates then become comparable and there is a possibility you will have to stop at multiple locations to allow other passengers to board or disembark during your transfer via a shared-ride shuttle service.
